These Grands Crus selected by Pommery enjoy exceptional locations in vineyards of the Champagne region: their south-southeast exposure ensures maximum sunlight and their cultivation in the middle of hill slopes in rich chalky Champagne terrain guarantees excellent irrigation of the foot of the vines.

The year 2009 has been described by some as a "gift from the gods". Nature offered an ideal summer : hot, dry and very sunny. Everything was in place to harvest great grapes. The bunches were in an exceptional state of health, without any deterioration. The juices from this harvest had a natural balance close to perfection.

Pommery boasts some of the finest cellars in Reims, with over 18 kilometres of galleries hollowed out of chalk. Residing some 30 metres under the ground, these keep the maturing wine at a steady 10°c throughout the year.
