This is a Vintage Champagne and the bubbles are softer and the flavours develop more biscuity, yeasty flavours. This is why vintage Champagnes, which are aged for longer at the winery, usually have a richer flavour and a deeper colour. Three grape varieties contribute to the complexity of the blend: Pinot Meunier for fruitiness and bouquet, Pinot Noir for fullness and ability to age beautifully and Chardonnay for finesse and elegance.
